Getting Started With Zotero

Zotero is a free and open-source citation manager that will help you collect articles or other sources from the library or the web, organize them, insert in-text citations, create a bibliography, and more. See this video for more information. You will need to download and install it from their website to get started. By adding a Zotero connector to your browser you can easily add items to Zotero. You can download Zotero and connectors here.

If you’re not able to install software and just need to create bibliographies, try ZoteroBib.

This video shows how to use Zotero with the library's online catalog. Note: You no longer need to click a link to enter the online catalog. Just type your terms into the search box. Also, be sure to check the citations created by Zotero against your manual or other authority, because they are not always correct.
