For regular items (most books and gov't documents):

Undergraduates  21-day checkout, 3 renewals, 20-item limit
Graduate Students  60-day checkout, 2 renewals, 40-item limit
Faculty/Staff  120-day checkout, 2 renewals, 40 item limit
Other users

 21-day checkout, I renewal, 10 item limit

When a book is overdue for 7 days or more, a lost item fee of $75.00 will be charged. This fee will be waived if the item is returned in good condition.  A valid FHSU ID or Forsyth Library Card is required to check out materials. All charges remain on a patron's account, and a hold may be placed on the student's record until the item(s) are returned, or the fee(s) are paid. For full checkout policies, including checking out technology, see our Circulation Policy.  Also see our FAQ on renewing items.

NOTE: For Interlibrary Loan books, lending periods and renewal policies are set by the lending library. Contact the ILL department at iloan@fhsu.edu or call 785-628-4351.

SPECIAL COLLECTIONS & ARCHIVES materials have different loan times and fee amounts. Call 785-628-5511 for more information.
