Go to If you have not yet used our new system, Illiad, you will need to first create a free account. Then you can log in, and select the type of resource you want to request, under "New Request" on the left--article, book, etc.  Then just fill out the form and submit it.  You will be e-mailed when your item(s) arrive.  Usually articles can be posted onto your Illiad account so you can access them online.  Books can be picked up at the One-Stop Desk on the main floor of the library.

Enhanced and Personalized Interlibrary Loan Services

Starting November 18th, Forsyth Library introduced a new interlibrary loan service called ILLiad that automates routine Inter-library loan functions.

ILLiad does require the completion of a one-time registration before you begin submitting requests AND that you select a username and password to use after registration.

Establishing a regular interlibrary loan "account" on ILLiad provides several benefits:

• You will not need to enter personal information every time you complete an interlibrary loan request.

• You can track the processing of your interlibrary loan transactions from within your ILLiad account.

• You can view and print out from the Web PDF versions of any articles sent electronically by lending libraries.

• Your Interlibrary Loan requests are filled faster because ILLiad automates more of the ILL ordering and receipt process.

Please try ILLiad and let us know how it works for you! If you require any assistance with Illiad, please contact us at
