Q. How do I find children's books that have won awards or are on the ALA Notable list?

In the search box on the home page, search for "ala notable" or the name of the award, such as Caldecott.  Limit to books using the filter options on the side of the results (on a mobile device, click the funnel icon to see the limits). Note the call number of the title(s) you select. The children's section is located on the wooden shelves on the second floor, near Rm. 217.
