Go to www.census.gov. In the center of the page is the "Quick Facts" box, with a map of the U.S. Select your state from the drop-down menu. You can "select a fact"--what information you need--then type in the name of your town (if your town is not found, try searching for the county, or for a larger nearby town) and search to get the relevant info. You can add towns to compare, if desired, by clicking "add" in the far right column of results. You can choose different ways to display your results using the blue toolbar options, such as table, map, chart, etc.
