Try Life Magazine, which we have in print from 1936-1972 (basement compact shelving, oversize, AP2. L547). They are also available online via Google Books at http://books.google.com/books?id=N0EEAAAAMBAJ#all_issues_anchor. Search "all issues" for vietnam or vietnam war. The Life Photos website also has issues and additional photos : http://life.time.com/

You can also search Time Magazine via Academic Search Premier, and limit your dates to that period (1954-1975).

Or, view issues of the New York Times from that period using the Times Machine.  First, create your account at the New York Times if you haven't already done so (different than your TigerTracks). Then scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on Tools & Services, then on Times Machine. Type in a date, or click on the issues showing, then use the search box in the upper left to search the archive.
