Start with the Nursing Databases page of the Nursing Research Guide, where you'll find links to all the best databases for nursing articles. Click on CINAHL. In the first search box, type in nursing role and select MM Exact Major Subject Heading. Before you hit search, scroll down and check the boxes for Full-Text, and Peer-Reviewed. That will ensure all your results have a link to the complete article, and that it is a scholarly, peer-reviewed article.
If you don't find enough articles, return to the list of Nursing databases and select a different database, such as ProQuest Nursing, and try searching for the keyword phrase "nursing role" or "role development", and limit again to full-text and peer-reviewed.
