On the library web page (http://www.fhsu.edu/library) enter your topic into the search box. For best results, just put in the most important words, rather than a sentence. For example, rather than searching "How can children be motivated to read more?", just type in reading motivation children.
To limit your results to scholarly, peer-reviewed articles, click "peer reviewed journals" near the top of the page, or on the left side. This will decrease the number of results, but they will all be scholarly articles. The "Details" tab will give you information about the article. The "View it" tab contains the link to the online database(s) where the article can be found.
